Port Orchard Remodel
Set on the shore of south Puget Sound, the owners of this mid-century home wanted to infuse their lower level with a bright and cozy Japandi style. With existing picture windows cropping serene waters of the sound, we sought to enhance that feeling with natural but refined finishes throughout and direct attention towards the windows. The original disjointed layout and aged materials did not suit their functional needs or personal tastes. We re-organized the bath and laundry areas into a larger bath and created a guest suite to allow privacy for visiting friends and family while maintaining everyday usability for the owners. The entertaining area was opened and optimized for both lounging and hosting. The owners, being well traveled and design oriented, finished out the spaces with lively pops of art, texture, and color.
